After the previous post and our discussion about Autumn the giraffe from the Greenville Zoo, write from the perspective of a giraffe.
You can be Autumn, the giraffe who the world is anxiously waiting on to deliver her calf, Walter, her mate who has been separated from her during this last stage of pregnancy, or the unborn calfwho unbeknownst to him/her will be taking its first breaths in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers.

Beech Spring Buddies

On Friday the 28th, we went to go visit the sixth graders at Beech Springs Intermediate school. Over the past two weeks, we have been composing children's books with our partners. Our children's book was about food around the world, for we thought it would be an interesting book to capture the kid's attention. We had two Beech Buddies, both who were in special education classes. They eagerly read our book, to the point they asked us if they could read it themselves. Of course, we let them, and they were overjoyed. Then we filled out a sheet about each other, and I learned that one of my buddies enjoys texting. She says she can't get enough of it, because it's so fun. Afterwards, we took a picture, while one of our buddies earnestly held up our book to be photographed. It was fun, and I'm looking forward to our next visit to Beech Springs.
